Question
simple question - how does one set the clock? Is it as simple as moving the hands to the correct time and then plugging the clock into the electric outlet. I spent a great deal on this fine /rare vintage clock and do not want to break it!

Thanks so much

Answer
Hi Budd,
I have searched extensively for pictures of the back of the Meridian AC-powered clock, but have had no success. I'll have to answer your question generally.
Plug-in electric clocks almost always set by means of a setting knob on the back of the movement, at its center. If the knob is missing, you will see a small threaded shaft at that position. You can obtain setting knobs from clock materials houses.
If there is no provision for setting on the back of the clock, then it must set by turning the hands. Turn the minute hand ONLY by its tip to set the time. You may turn forwards or backwards. There will be some resistance to turning, but do not force the hand to turn.
    Thanks for your question.   Martin
