Question
The left weight on my Grandfather clock gave way to it's own weight and fell off. The bottom antique brass cap appears to be damaged. Can this be repair or replaced? Where can I get the repair or replacment?

Answer
Hi Pam,
Weight shells are available from clock materials houses like Timesavers and Merritts Antiques in various sizes. You will have to buy the entire weight shell, not just the end cap. You must make sure that you get a correct size that will fit the weight filler inside the shell.
I don't know if you also have a broken weight cable or an unattached chain that caused the weight to fall. If this is also a problem, please get back to me and tell me if you have a cable or chain drive clock, and exactly what happened that caused the weight to fall.
