Question
we recently wound the clock and now it ticks for about 2 minutes and stops.  This has never happened before.  We have successfully used the clock for over 25 years.  What is worong?

  First thing to check is the "beat" or evenness of the tick from side to side - move the bottom of the clock left or right to get it where it sounds the best. If it still does not run it needs service. 20 years is normal service life on these and you are long past when they normally quit.
