ANSWER: Before I make suggestions I need to know if you feel confident enough to remove the movement from the case?  Open the back of the clock case and make a decision.  The proceedure I would perscribe would require this basic step.  Actually the proceedure is easier than removing the movement from the case.  Let me know.  WJP

QUESTION:  I belive i can remove it from case ok.

Answer
My first thoughts on this matter were for me to write out instructions to accomplish the task.  This would require several pages of writing plus supporting diagrams.  Instead I will refer you to a book that would provide the relevant instructions.  The book is "The Clock Repair Primer" by Philip E. Balcom.  The subject you need is addressed , beginning on page 116, extending to at least page 123.  This book might be available through your local library, if not it is surely available on ebay, amazon, abe, alibris etc.  Frankly I feel this book is an asset to any clock owner who wants to know more about his clock(s) and how to take care of them.  I hope this information will serve you well, regards WJP
