Question
mantel clock,100+ years old, made in Germany. Runs well, sings(Westminister) the quarter hours and hour as intended, but bongs the hours on the first quarter hour song. Any help appreciated.

Answer
Hal:   back up the min hand 20 minutes worth after it does the westminster on 1st quarter --then move the min hand to 16 min after and if it does the 1/2 hour- then remove the min hand (pin or nut holds it on) and reposition the square hole so it is back 15 min and re-attach the hand- it should now bong the hours only when the min hand is at 12. just back and forward the min hand till the Westminster is matched with the right quarter.--advise
