Question
Hello Martin,
My dream has come true! I bought a cuckoo clock(it's an 8-day with music). Except the cuckoos are off sequence. I've already; adjusted the pendulum accordingly, Made sure clock is completely level and flush with the wall and reset time.I would love for you to help me with your expertise. Thank you,

Hi Sara,
I'm not sure what you mean by "off sequence." I'll assume that you mean that the number of cuckoos on the hour do not match the time that the hands read. If this is not correct, please get back to me and I'll try to solve your problem.
If the cuckoo strikes the wrong number of times, you correct it as follows: turn it to strike on the hour. Count the number of times it strikes and move the HOUR HAND ONLY to point to the correct number. the minute hand will Not move. The hour hand (unlike the minute hand) is a friction fit and can be moved forward or backward without affecting the minute hand or the strike mechanism. Once you have synchronized the strike in this way, you can set the time the normal way by turning the minute hand forward, stopping to let it cuckoo at each strike point.
