To add to the other answers, the 25-year guarantee is for the watch case, not the watch movement. The guarantee is that normal use of the watch will not cause the gold outer layer to wear-through to the brass filling for at least 25 years.



Assay is a process to measure the purity of the gold. In your example, this was done in the US.
