Clocks, Watches/lanvin watch

Question
i recently found a brand new in the box watch that was my grandfathers. He has past and i inherited his home and the watch was among his belongings. Any way i cannot find any information on the manufacturer. Lanvin Paris France

Answer
Lanvin is an up-market and French tailor of some considerable fame. Some years ago (more than 20) they followed the fashionable business practice of marketing perfumes, watches and other accessories in order to exploit their brand name - LANVIN.

These watches are quite common in Japan, where they are imported by Seiko.

Although Lanvin puts it's name on the watch, they don't manufacture the watch.  To know what type of movement is used you will have to remove the back and look at the movement. It will be written on it somewhere.

Kind regards,

Melvin
