Clocks, Watches - missing part

Expert: William J Perkins - 5/23/2007

Question
We recently bought a Pearl Grandfather clock, made in June 1982. Model #327-2130. Chain Driven Movement/ H-241/H-451/-461/H-1151/H-1161. My problem is we found that the Suspension Arm is missing.. I have tried to locate the company in Memphis, TN but can't get a number for them. I would like to find out where I can order a Suspension Arm and possibly a new penulum. If you could help I would really appreciate it. Thank You Larry

Answer
Your clock is actually a Hermle.  Which Hermle I don't know.  The string of numbers you provided, preceded by H are all Hermle.  Each is a significantly different movement, ranging from the very cheapest to moderate in price.  To pin this down I ask that you copy down and send me all the information stamped upon the movements backplate.  Once I have the requested information I can identify the specific movement and provide the part number for the missing item.  You should have no problem getting this part.  Regards WJP
