Question
I am finishing a 25 year old grandfather kit for a friend.  The movement is an Emperor 301M with 4 strike rods on the left as you face the movement from the front, and 8 on the right.  The chime block with the kit has 4 rods on each side, obviously not the correct one.  Is it possible to find and purchase the correct chime block with rods to finish this kit off?  Can you inform me of a source for this part?  Thanks, Roger Clemmons Bloomington, Illinois.

there are lots of configurations you can look on line here or call Timesavers for a catalog. Basically they come parallel rods like the one shown or angled down on a inverted V shape. The movement has other numbers on the back of the back brass plate that id the maker--Emperor did not make the movement - maybe Jauch, Urgos or Hermle- might help to Id the movement properly when asking for the rod set. also try Ebay:
