Question
I am sorry I did make myself clear in my previous question, lets start again.
The clock I have is a short case pendulum clock, it as 3 spring barrels, 1 for the strike 2 for the time and a third for the tune. I have had the clock movement cleaned etc.
But when I came to refit the movement to the case, you have to insert it into case horizontally, were by gears and rack dropped out of mesh and thereby loosing the settings between the clock and the chimes so I need to be able to reset them. And also I have concern about the time that tune barrel runs for, the clock is an 8 day but the tune barrel runs out of steam after about 2 hours, any ideas .is the spring in this barrel  scrape

Answer
<<is the spring in this barrel  scrap>>>- probably not.
Who cleaned the movement? A pro? No intstallation proceedure I know of will cause gears to drop out of mesh, unless the clock has a problem before--maybe caused by improper cleaning? Same goes for the spring.
