Question
I have a replica type wall clock that uses 1 aa battery for time and 2 aa for chime that goes off every hour and has silencer from i think 10 to 7 in the morning.On dial in says Hammerstein on top Quartz Westminster chime on bottom and Regulator on glass where the fake pendulum hangs.It has one knob to change time.But i cant get the timing right for hours and dongs.I lost instructions any idea on how to properly set it up?Any ideas would be appreciated Thanks

    Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
    Quartz movements have many different setting methods, some of them rather complicated, so I can only provide a general suggestion on how to correct your problem.
    Wait until the clock strikes the hour. (Don't turn the hands, let the clock run till it strikes.) Note the number of times the clock strikes. Unscrew the minute hand nut and remove the minute hand. Pull it sraight off so that you don't turn the hand shaft. The pull the hour hand straight off, and replace it by pushing it straight on, pointing to whatever number of hours the clock has just struck. Then replace the minute hand pointing to the "12" as it was when the clock struck. For most quartz clocks, this will correct the problem.
