Question
I have a male and a female she has had 2 clutches of eggs all not fertile. The male gets on her sideways I don't think he is doing his job will he eventually get it right or what?

Answer
Pam,

He might.  Then again, he might not.  Not all males have "good aim."  In any case, if the two clutches have been from this year, you might want to reduce any stimulus to lay another clutch this year so that she can recover some of her calcium and protein stores.  You can reduce the stimulus by removing the nest, limiting the amount of light that reaches her cage to less than 12 hours per day, and in more difficult cases, removing the male.

Good luck,

Cindy
