Cockatiels/cocktiel eye problem

Question
Dr. Kiesewetter, I have a female cockatiel with one eye closed over and she is spending most of the time on the bottom of the cage.  Can you help?

Thank you!

Connie - Tampa, Fl.

Answer
Connie,

I'm not a Dr., but thanks for the compliment! :)

Regarding your cockatiel, there could be a number of things wrong.  I think your baby needs a trip to an avian vet ASAP.  Sitting on the bottom of the cage is a sure sign of illness.

Good luck,

Cindy
