Question
Why is our cockatiel laying eggs now, we were told that they lay in the spring. She does not have a mate.
And also how long will she lay eggs?

without a mate those egg are not fertile so they will not hatch. tmay be the reason why your bird i layinf egg on its own is because it is developing a bad habbit where it may be masturbationg on the perches and so on. if this continues re arrange the cage and provide it with fake eggs which are safe for the birds. als ensure that their is enough calcium avaialable for your bird.
