Question
We just recently adopted a cocker mix and she was spayed Thursday the 21st and we want to know when you think she can play with our 6 months old aussie fox hound. She seems to be healing very well and we are having a problem keeping her from jumping. It has not affected her "spot" where she is healing.  Maxx our aussie wants to play so bad. What do you suggest? Thanks

Answer
Although tempting...keep her quiet with no playing until her stitches are out.  You really don't want a mad dash to the vet with bleeding sutures.  Take Maxx out for a good, long walk/run/ball throwing/whatever..and keep them separated.  It's only another 6 days, then they can have a blast together.
