My 4 month old American Cocker Spaniel has a kind of gel under her eye. Is this normal???

Do you mean her eye has a discharge?  No, it's not normal and I'd see your vet asap.  She may have a bit of an eye infection and will need some meds.

If your vet prescribes eye meds - get him or her to show you how to put them in.  If you still have trouble doing it, write and I'll tell you how I do it.

Don't let this go - get her to the vet.  Caught early, this will clear up quickly but it can get nasty.
