Cocker Spaniels/Peeing

Question
Do all cocker spaniels, when getting excited pee?
I heard that they will pee in your house when excited.

Answer
Puppies of any breed can do this.  I don't know how old your dog is but this will resolve on its' own in time.

Don't punish or yell at him - he can't help it.  Just keep taking him out (not putting him out - take him) every two hours.  Give your chosen command "go potty" and always praise & reward.

Your best bet is to keep his bladder as empty as possible.

Puppies don't have great bladder control (just like human infants) and a little excitement causes this "nervous piddling".
Just clean it up with no comment and continue housebreaking training.

If you're unsure about how to housebreak - do write again and we can go over it step by step.

Health, nutrition, training. Please note: I used to highly recommend Innova products but, unfortunately, as with Canidae, they have sold out to Proctor & Gamble. This guarantees lower quality to a dangerous point so I will no longer be advising anyone to buy it.
