Question
i just bought a 8 week old cocker spaniel and shes breathing really heavy and has a little wheeze its not a bad wheeze but she breathes really heavy i was just wondering if thats normal?

Answer
The first thing you need to do with a new puppy is take her to your own vet.  No, this isn't normal and I'd have her checked out.

At 8 weeks she also needs to eat about 5 times a day and will sleep a lot.

Please let me know what the vet says.  If you can - take a stool sample with you.  Just wrap it in a plastic baggy.  A heavy load of worms could cause this - easily fixed - but get her to the vet today.

Best of luck,
