ok thanx i will keep max on the same rutine although its kind of hectect at home in da morning.. well i have something else see he nibbles on his leash and im not sure why i just got him a new leash yesterday because his old leash was not very good i got him the leashes that go around the chest hope thats a good choice see as he pulls alot i felt the old leash was kind choking like and as i said before i think they where disaplining him with it as well how can i get him to trust the leash and not bite on it he seems to nibble it to the point of breaking it i can not use the new leash i bought him any more so i went out with him this morning and bought him a new one but he is still nibbling on it when i put it on..i am happy he is very well behaved meaning he dose not bark out side or inside the home ..hope u can help thanks again irma

Just try the best you can and be patient...he'll settle down.

If he chews on his leash, get a chain-link leash.  If you have a nice park area to take him to then an extension leash would be great.  You can let him roam a bit and still be in control.

A harness is good for a dog that pulls.

Watch the other leash carefully because if he chews it right through and it breaks on the street that would be a possible tragedy.

If you catch him biting the leash, a firm NO and take it out of his mouth.  If he pulls while walking...stop dead for 10 seconds.
The message is "you pull and you go nowhere".  If he knows "sit"..stop and make him sit.
