Question
My 7 week old cocker spaniels has diarrhea x 3 days she playing some but sleep alot.  she been eating purina pupppy chow, since i got her, read about the rice so i gave her rice with chicken broth, she not had but a couple little stool but i was afraid to give her any more in case she could not digest it good. Got her a dose of worn med for the vet he said it would not hurt her even if she had been treated before.  but she still has diarrhea, now it green.  Please tell me what i can do to help her the vet not in now.     Thanks You

Answer
At this age diarrhea can dehydrate her quickly and it can be dangerous.

Do NOT give canned chicken broth - it's loaded with sodium.

Purina is garbage and you need to get her on a better food, but right now make up the following:

Scramble 3 eggs (use NO milk or oil)
Plain white rice - use extra water and overcook.

Mix together the eggs and 1 cup of the cooked rice with 1/4 cup water.

Give her a spoonful every hour.

If it doesn't look better - call your vet in the morning and get her in.

No breeder would allow a 7 week old to go so I'm guessing you got her from a pet store.
