Which Dog would be best for be? I live in an apartment and have allergies. I'd like an active dog that is easy trainable, and easy to care for (grooming). I would also like a dog that is soft (nice to pet) and can be by itself for a while.

Answer
First I'd ask "allergies to what?"

And dogs can happily live in an apt. providing they're not left alone 8 hours a day and are walked at least an hour per day with outings inbetween.

So what do you mean by "can be by itself for awhile"?

Have you had a dog before?  Are you aware of the time, energy and expense involved?
