Question
QUESTION: hi, My 2 year old Cocker spaniel ( blue Rowan ) has lots of doggy friends BUT when he sees one particular red setter he barks at it. he plays happily with other dogs of all breeds. This happens when he is on or off the lead.

ANSWER: And what does the Setter do?  What do you do when this happens?

Do you want this to stop?  Is it a real problem?  Is either dog appearing aggressive?

---------- FOLLOW-UP ----------

QUESTION: The setter is still quite young, just 6 months. He wants to play and runs around my dog. If I spot the setter first I get my dog to sit and block his sight. If I dont see it forst then my dog goes into full flight, barking at it. My dog is usually on the lead, while the stter is not

Answer
I need you to be specific.  Is either dog really aggressive or is this just your dog barking?
What does the setter do when your dog barks at him?   What do you do when he's barking? Why not just avoid this particular place?
Or let them work it out? How is the Setter's owner reacting?
