Question
I was just watching TV with my three year old black cocker spaniel sound asleep on my lap. She heard a noise and got up to check it out. That is when i realized that she had peed on my leg not her whole bladder but half of it. Should she be loosing her bladder control this early? What can i do

Answer
Your girl most likely has a urinary tract infection.  Make an early morning appt. with your vet and get a urinalysis and a culture done.  Make sure she's fasted (no food.)

A first morning sample is best when doing a urinalysis.  Request a culture too since that picks up what a urinalysis might miss.

This is quite common and a round of antibiotics will clear it up.
