Question
my love Spirit a cocker spaniel adult rescue dog bit me today :(
i tried to take a piece of food from under his chin to re insert a pill and he bit me soooo hard.. no puncture wound but scary enough
i am so sad
please tell me the reasoning behind this
i really don't know much about his history but 95 % of the time he is a love.. old man type of demeanor - thought to be 11 years old and have hadt him for 4 mos

Well, I think what happened is you tried to take food out of his mouth. (At least that's how he saw it.)  If you need to give him a pill - get another bit of food to wrap it in.

Is he pretty sweet other than this one incident?  You say he's lovely "95% of the time" - what else does he do?

And bless your heart for taking in this older boy!
