My 3 yr old cocker has severe allergies. He has been on every antiiotic shampoo food and anthistimane there is. He is currently on atopica fish oil hydroxine avveno soaks and special shampoo from vet. The vet didnt want to give steroids but in this case for his comfort she did and it does make a little difference. My problem is finances I have a little girl with medical issues and bills and also I have a seizure disorder and the dog itching all night doesn't help. We r struggling and the vet said she would actually consider taking the dog for herself. I feel so guilty but cant financially do all of this for the next 15 yrs. Is there any cheaper meds or one that would work in place of all the others. He is on prescription Hills after being on almost everything eles. He was allergy tested and is allergic to almost everything on the list. Thank you for your help

Can you tell me what Antihistimines you've tried and what the dosage was?

How was he allergy tested?

What is the special shampoo from the vet?  Do the Aveeno oatmeal soaks give relief at all?

Do his allergies only involve itching or does he get skin infections?
