Question
My dog is about 10 years old and has always been very active.she weighs about 40-50 pounds and over the past two days she has been moving a lot slower. today she wouldn't touch her food (normally she would eat everything she could get her paws on) she has had a constant struggle with ear infections her whole life. just recently we have found that she had blood coming from her nose and her eye also has a bloody red spot. and just today she has had blood in her stool, with a less than solid consistency. she has been to the vet. they said it was possibly internal bleeding. I'm worried she had just gotten too old to deal with something like this now. If you can give me any information I would be more than happy.

Answer
What exactly did your vet do?  Your girl needed a full CBC panel (bloodwork), some x-rays for sure.  So what testing did they do?

I'd get her to a specialist in Internal Medicine right away.  Hopefully you have an ER in your city.  Don't let this go on - get her in to see someone who can help.  Just take her and go !

And if your vet "thought" it was internal bleeding she should be in hospital.  A basically healthy 10 year old dog can deal with a lot so don't let that be a factor.
