Question
hi, i first wrote to you on 20 march about my then 10 week old cocker puppy, who was very bitey, snarly and snappy, i would like to thank you for all your help as she is now a changed little girl, still having a problem with her teething but she uses her toys and not our fingers now and infact if she wants a cuddle she will come to me with a toy in her mouth and scrap my leg, i cuddle her whilst sitting on the floor, i do not want her on the furniture so i dont want to confuse her by lifting her up. She only growls when playing and no longer snarls, she is adorable. She can sit and give paw to command and is now learning lay down and in your bed.I now need help to teach her not to continuously pull when on her lead, which we have replaced with a fine chain and she no longer bites. many thanks

Answer
You did a good job :) !!!

If she's pulling (and again, I strongly recommend a harness) - stop dead in your tracks - wait till she looks at you & then go in the other direction. (No conversation).  Repeat!
The lesson here is "I don't get to go where I want when I pull".

Also there's a new "no pull" harness by Canine Concepts & available at Petco.  First one I ever tried that really works.  It has fleece around the "under front legs" part and the force hits them at the shoulders when they try to pull.

And thank you so much for letting me know how things are progressing.  You've got a very smart little girl there.
