Question
ok first of all i am a beer drinker. i love beer. but when i go out and want mixed drinks i feel stupid. all these people saying 50 cent well drink specials and such...so question is.... what is a well drink? and what are the most common drink mixes? you know so i wont act like an idiot when i go out this new years eve...thanks.

Answer
Hi Gabe,
If you're on a budget, well drinks are ok I guess. But most often they are "lesser" brands and lower quality. You're better off asking for a "Name Brand" such as Jim Beam and Coke rather that just Bourbon and Coke, which would come from the "well" and have a name you probably never heard of.
The 10 most common Well drinks?? Think about if for a second, they really do speak for themselves. (W)Gin & Tonic/(C)Tanqueray & Tonic, Scotch & Water/Dewars & Water; see what I'm getting at here? It's all about taste and budget. Keep in mind though that the call drink will always be the better quality one.
This should help you Gabe. If you need any more on this, contact me at my own site, askyourbartender.com . It's easier for me to work from there,k?

Here's looking forward to talking to you again soon,
Cheers,
Dave
