Question
i have this dime, barber 1916 S with a small hole, less than 1/8
inch diameter in the coin.

does this make it less collectible?

Answer
It certainly makes it less valuable.  I guess with that in mind, it probably makes it less collectible too, although that may be in the eye of the beholder.  I think most people would look upon it as a damaged coin, and not want to collect it at all.  Hope this helps, Jim Lawniczak
