Question

I'm from Myanmar.I have a token about "The singing of peace at Versallies in 1919".Its mearsurement is about 50mm Diameter and 2.5mm in thickness.I would like to know what it is produced for, how many tokens they produced and who received these emblens at that time in 1919.If possible I'd like to sell it and how to get auction.
         Thanks a lot,
                  Aung Soe,Myanmr

Answer
Aung Soe, good to hear from you.  I have not heard of this piece.  It must be a commemorative of the peace treaty signed at Versailles (the palace outside of Paris, France) to end the first world war.  Although the armistice (cease fire) was signed on November 11, 1918, the treaty was actually signed on June 28, 1919.  I do not know how many were made or who made them.  You might try going to www.ebay.com and doing a search for something like "medal Versailles treaty" and some variations to see if anyone is selling a piece like yours.  Or try going to www.google.com and doing a similar search.

The only auction site I know of is ebay -- and I don't know how you qualify to be a seller from Myanmar.  Again try going to www.ebay.com and seeing what you can find.

Hope this helped, Jim Lawniczak
