Question
I have been left coins from my Mother I have no idea what they are worth I have silver and copper 1955D wheat 1956D wheat just to name some

Answer
Hi Dori,
Most pennies are not worth a whole lot.  Here are the dates to look for:  1909, 1914-D, 1922, 1931-D and anthing piror to 1919 that is in super condition.
1943 steel pennies are quite common, however there were a few dozen made from copper and are worth $10,000 and up.  Steel ones stick to a magnet, copper ones don't.

Silver dimes, quarters and half dollars dated 1964 or before are worth 8 times their face value for their silver.  So dimes are worth 80 cents, quarters are $2 and Halves are $4.  Half dollars dated 1965 to 1970 are 40% silver and worth about $1 each.
Silver dollars dated 1935 or earlier are worth anywhere from $10 and up depending upon date and condition.

You can email me directly to discuss this some more if you like.
