Question
I am trying to place a value on a very rare mis-struck steal penny dated 1943.The mis-strike is the 4 in the date, any help would be much appreciated.

Answer
Without a picture or exact details of how it's mis-struck, I can only assume that the mis-strike is that part of the date is missing, which is actually a relatively common error, caused by a foreign substance on the die, valued at a dollar or less.
