Coin and Paper Money Collecting/How much is a 1945 penny worth?

Question
I found a penny of 1945. I have heard that if you have a 1945 penny they are worth lots of money... And I want to know how much they are worth.

Answer
Natalia, sorry there were many U.S. cents made in 1945 and so they are really not worth all that much.  If they are ordinarily circulated, they would only be worth a few cents or so, even if uncirculated, they would normally be worth no more than a dollar (would be more only if in near perfect condition).  Go to www.ebay.com and do a search for 1945 cent or 1945 penny and you should see some for sale.  Hope this helped, Jim Lawniczak
