Coin Collecting - 1951 penny

Expert: Neil S Berman - 12/14/2007

Question
I have a 1951 silver penny that the mint made by missake. I know it was worth over $2,000 back in the 70s. Do you know the valve of it now? Thanks.

Answer
I do not know where you got your information back then but I doubt it was worth $2000 in the 1970s. I would guess about $1000 today. With that said, the worlds expert on this subject is Fred Weinberg and I suggest you ask him. You can reach him at fred@fredweinberg.com. Good luck.
