Question
i  recently found a 1964 silver quarter. how can i determine the value of my coin? i am currently collecting silver querters, dimes, and wheat pennies. where can i get more history as to why this particular year was printed in silver? 1-12-07

Answer
Hello Rose,
Dimes, Quarters and Half Dollars were made of 90% silver up until 1964.  It was in 1965 that they switched to the copper clad coinage.
Your quarter is worth $2.
