QuestionHi Kevin
I have a coin that i rely think it could be rare. 1) I want to know if there where any 1965 Silver Queen ELIZABETH II coin's ever made in that time. 2) I have asked Brad Swain about this coin but did not get a good clear answer from him, 3) I told Brad about the engravings under the Queens neck just above the year 1965, The WORDS M.G but I don't know if the (G) is a (C) or not, It looks like M.G. Can you pleas give me any Info that could be a big help in knowing what i have. I can send you pic of this coin and the engraving (At your request)
AnswerHi Dud,
If your piece has a diameter of 1.5", and has Churchill on the other side, then it is a coin known as a "Churchill Crown". It is a British coin made in 1965 to commemorate Churchill. Millions of them were made and they are extremely common - they can be readily purchased for $2 or less.
I hope this helps!
