Question
CAN U TELL ME HOW IS THIS PENNY WORTH 1974 WITH A MAP AND AK PRINT IN IT

Answer
Hello, these are novelty items made in the mid 70s.  They actually made one for every state, with the postal initials and a map.  They were stamped on the Lincoln cents after manufacturer and sold in the dollar range.  They are after minting alterations and there is not a great market for them and so they really don't have any value.  On occasion, someone will put one on eBay for sale and sometimes they sell in the dollar range.  Try a search at www.ebay.com (try again next week if none are there today) for stamped cent or stamped penny or the like.  Hope this helped, Jim Lawniczak
