Question
Hi Neil,
I just got a US 1975 dime but in yellow color. Is this somekind special coin? Thanks.

Answer
Dear Mark. All US coins are now made of a copro-nickle compound, which replaced silver in 1964. These are basicly a sandwhich of nickle on the outside and copper on the inside. Fresh copper is bright orange. It sounds like you have an error coin with the nickel off of one side. They are collected but not worth much. The mint makes plenty
of errors. Regards. N.
