Question
i have aquiered a 1983 penny that is half stamped and would like to know its value the stamp is half on and half off front and back

Answer
Sounds like you have an error, off center cent.  They have some value, more when there is still a date on the cent, and the more the off center the more value.  I'm not an expert on error coins though.  Without looking at the piece, it's hard to tell the value, but based on what I've heard, I'd guess in the range of $5 to $10 or so, depending on the error.

You may want to try going to www.ebay.com and going a search for off center cent [or penny] error.  That should get you a listing of several pieces for sale on eBay and you can see what the prices are.  Also try the same search at www.google.com and you'll see similar items.  Hope this helped, Jim Lawniczak
