We were given an uncirculated roll of 25 $1 George Washington dollar coins (2007) that are packaged in a plastic sleeve inside of a gold bar box.  The outside of the box says 425 net grams, ballistic roll. Denver Mint. Series GA 81482967 A

I have looked all over and can't find any information on these.

Can you provide any information on these?

Hi Katie,

I have seen these before.  Sorry to say, but this is just fancy packaging for coins with very little collector value.

I don't know the name of the company that put it together, but they have been ripping off the unknowing public with this high-priced, fancy, official-sounding packaging for coins they got from the bank.

There were many millions of these coins minted -- a roll of 25 coins retails for about $27.00
