Coin and Paper Money Collecting/1925 coin with shadow

Question
I have a 1925 penny that seems to have a shadow of the bust just to the right of the head and over the top of the date. I thought at first it was just a mark, but it's the shape of a head and shoulders. Anything like that printed? My father kept a lot of coins he said might be worth something one day.

Answer
Hi Kathy,
It sounds like some sort of doubling but you do not say if it appears to be struck twice or merely a coloration difference.
If it appears to be struck twice, you should have the coin visually inspected by a professional numismatist.  If it's coloration, it has no additional value.
