How do I distinguish if a 1976 Proof or Unc
set is silver or not? Thank you.

Answer
The silver sets are 3-coin sets only -- they have only the dollar, half, and quarter in them.  If the set is still in the government packaging, and has more than those three coins in them, then it is not silver.

The silver coins will all have "S" mintmarks.

Non-silver coins will have a copper stripe along the outside edge -- like regular quarters you get in change today.  Silver coins (quarter/half/dollar) will not have this copper stripe.
