Question
Hello and thanks for viewing my question.  I recently purchased a few coins at an estate sale on a whim...should have known better i guess.   Anyway I have in my posession the coin/medallion mentioned above.  I have found only one site on the iternet that shows the reverse side like I have. Which is an eagle standing on a shield.  It says platinum .999 5 mil.  Liberty on the front with a seated statue.

In that same sale I picked up 2 gold 999 medallian / coins same size and with the same reverse but the front has an indian head with headress they say 10 mil.

If you can assist me in any way to now what these are and if you would know what the value range might be I would appreciate it.

Answer
OK,
Now I have it.
These medallions were minted by a private company.  The 5 mil. and 10 mil. indicate that the coins are made of base metal and plated with, you gessed it, 5 mil of palt and 10 mil of gold.
They may look nice, but have no bullion value.
