Question
My sister found a dime with no marking above the date. I was wondering if it was worth anything. Thank you.

Answer
Hello Mandy,

You did not say what year your dime was?
The Mint Mark on a Roosevelt Dime is above the date since 1965.

The dime is minted at all US Mints. Previous to 1980 only the Denver and San Francisco Mints have a Mint Mark letter.
There is an upper case "D" or "S" there at the date.

The Philadelphia dimes had no mint mark prior to 1980 it was not needed. And only from 1980 to this day are marked with a P.

If your dime was made after 1980 or you need more information please write me again.

I hope this information helps.

Good Luck
