Question
I found a gold colored 1919 wheat penny, why is it gold?
M. not sure what you have there -- wheat cents were made of copper, which is a similar color to gold. It is thus likely that you just have a regular 1919 cent. Try going to www.ebay.com and doing searches for 1919 cent and 1919 penny and look at the pictures. Jim Lawniczak
