Question
I have a 1920 Lincoln penny with what looks like an S stamped under the date. What does that mean? The color is unique as well. Also I have a 1941 penny as well with no mint stamped on it at all. Are either of these worth anything?

Answer
Hello Shannon,

The Lincoln Cent series is made at 3 mints. If there is no mint mark letter below the date it is a Philadelphia minted coin. If there is a D it is a Denver mint and if there is an S it was made at the San Francisco mint.
A 1920 San Francisco Minted cent sells retail from .60 cents to $25 dollars in circulated grades from Good 4 to Almost Uncirculated grade 50.
I am afraid the funny coloring will detract from the value. If it has ever been cleaned it will cut the value from 30% to 50%.

Your 1941 cent is common and retails for less than a dollar.

Thank You and Good Luck
