Question
I was given an old Canadian quarter at work as a tip. It has a picture of a bobcat or lynx on one side and a man on the other. Is this coin rare or of any special value?

Answer
Hi Jessie, There were 48.8 million of these 25 cent coins featuring a Lynx and Queen Elizabeth II (1952-). The 1967 coins had special designs to celebrate the centennial of the Canadian Confederation. It contains .150 of an ounce of silver and it may currently be worth up to about $2 depending on amount of wear and collector demand.
