Coin and Paper Money Collecting/Coin Oddity: Quarter obverse. Dollar Reverse

Question
Hello,

I came across this coin in a laundromat. My guess is that it's a trick/magic coin as opposed to a mint error.  Haven't been able to confirm what it is by looking on eBay on the Internet.  Can you tell me and give an appraisal too?  Here are the specs: •   1973 Washington Head Quarter on front.  Flying Eagle Dollar on the reverse. Here's a picture: http://www.NEWYORKCITYonline.com/craigslist/QuarterANDDollar.jpg

Whatever answers or direction you can give will be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks.

Answer
HI Robert,

It certainly appears to be a magician's coin to me but I would have to physically inspect and weigh it.

If you want to ship it to me for review, I can give you the details and make you an offer.  I actually collect magician's coins and I am very interested in a double denomination piece to match my penny/dime and my buffalo/jefferson.

Upon review, I will make you a fair offer.

Send the coin to me at
