Coin and Paper Money Collecting/copper coins/medals

Question
I have a set of 5 copper coins/medals. Still in original packaging. Struck by the Mount Everest Mint in 1974. It's called the Official Wildlife of the United States. Packaging states they are solid copper medals. New Jersey, New Hampshire, Montana, Nevada and Nebraska. I can't find any information on them or even an idea of what they might be worth. Help?!

Answer
Evan,

Unfortunately, privately minted items like this have no information about them available -- there is just no interest for anybody to invest the multitude of time required to document the thousands of
private mint offerings available over the years.

And the resale market for these type of coins/medals/tokens is almost nonexistant -- especially for those that do not contain any precious metal.  The interest is just not there -- especially for a partial set like you have.  I would be surprised if you could sell that 5-piece set for more than a couple dollars.

I know this is not good news, but it is realistic.

Expertise

My strong familiarity with all U.S. Mint coins, extensive reference library, and close relationships with many other dealers allows me to identify just about any coin made in the USA. I receive regular updates to all the current price guides -- both wholesale & retail -- to provide accurate values. So, with a good description or pictures, I should be able to identify and value any U.S. coin you have.

Experience

I've been a coin dealer since the 1980's and a coin collector since the 1960's. I specialize in U.S. Silver Coins and have an active online website -- The Working Man's Rare Coins -- http://www.workingmancoins.com -- offering information and inventory in U.S. coins.
